Our story spans four generations, from antique rugs in Isfahan to a showroom on Madison Avenue and an international home furnishings brand. Today, our collections include rugs, furniture, lighting, outdoor furnishings, and accessories across a broad range of styles and price points. Through every chapter, an appreciation for color, texture, and design has remained at the heart of Safavieh.

Our Beginnings
Kazem Yaraghi establishes Safavieh in Isfahan, beginning a family business rooted in antique rugs.
- 1978
A New York Chapter
Arash and Cyrus Yaraghi open a showroom on Madison Avenue, bringing the family’s rug expertise to New York’s interior design community.
- 1995
A Vision for the Whole Home
Safavieh’s first total-home retail gallery debuts in Stamford, Connecticut, bringing furniture and decorative accessories together with its rug collection.
